Villagers of Naimalavau in Nakelo, Tailevu, will no longer have to worry about waiting in the sun and rain for public transport.

This is after the village’s bus stop and footpath projects were completed by a 13-member team from Tasmania, Australia.

Members of the “Love Beyond” team of C3 Church along with villagers worked together to complete the project within seven days.

Australian group team leaders Tom and Cylie Hebi took on the initiative for their church after visiting the village four years ago with a Circular Head School Group.

With the new project completed, the villagers both young and old will now be able to wait comfortably for public transport at the village entrance.

The projects, which cost $20,000 were opened on Wednesday.
