Naikelimusu New Gear

The Naikelimusu Rugby Club received their new uniforms for 2016 on Wednesday.

The new gear was funded by the Namailavau, Nakelo, Tailevu former players who are now members of the British Army in England.

Team manager Ratu Naisa Dokanivalu was grateful with the donation.

“Many of the boys are unemployed and we fundraise by selling crabs,”he said.

“But the assistance is a blessing and we’re thankful.

“This club is made up of players from Vaturua and Naimalavau villages and play in the Tailevu Rugby Union competition for  12 years.”

Aseri Tuca, who hails from Namailavau has spent 14 years with British Army, said this was a way to give something back to the village team.

“This gear cost us $9K and we hope that it will be a great year for them,” Tuca said.
