Merewalesi Tinaimoicava wants to be a lawyer in the future.
She lives in Naila Village in Tailevu and aspires to be a Fijian helping Fijians.
She was inducted as the headgirl of Lelean Memorial School on Thursday.
“I never thought that I would become the headgirl of such a prestigious school and I am forever blessed to have come across this wonderful opportunity,” she said after she was among 84 prefects who were appointed to lead the school this year. I have always wanted to be a lawyer and that is exactly the path where I’m heading to,” she said.
“This year would be my last year of high school and I am saddened to say that it will be my final goodbye to the school. For now I will make the most of the time I have left and cherish each day as I lead the girls here in Davuilevu.”
Turaga and Vadei share responsibilities
Jonetani Turaga, 19, and Rosi Vadei, 18, look forward to an exciting of leadership, hard work and studies.
Jonetani, the deputy headboy for day scholars said: “I wanted to become a secondary school teacher in the future and being the deputy headboy for day scholars is like training myself to my future career where I talk and students listen.”
He is from Nagadoa Village in Dama, Bua, and is the eldest of five siblings.
The deputy headgirl for day scholars, Rosi, said: “I have learned a lot during my studies here in Davuilevu and I hope to achieve good marks in my studies so I can put my family name on the school roll of honour.”
Rosi is originally from Sawaieke Village, Gau, Lomaiviti.
She looks forward to joining Lautoka Teachers College after high school and become a school teacher.
