The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) would like to advise members of the public that a section of road between Golden Rock Quarry and the healing water access site in Dawasamu, Tailevu will be closed to motorists from 6am to 7pm tomorrow.
This is to allow FRA’s contractor to carry out the following work:
- Construction of a bus turning area at the end of the healing water access road
A bus turning area will allow bigger vehicles such as buses to access the healing site. In addition a steep section of the road leading up to the turning will also be upgraded.
- Stream bed improvement works at the healing water site
This work would improve the safety profile of the stream bed where visitors bathe.
In addition, it will improve accessibility and safety for visitors to the stream.
