More people are expected to visit the healing water site in Delakado Village, Tailevu
The Yavusa Voni of Delakado Village spokesperson Menausi Druguvale said people from overseas and as well as locals who have visited the site said they would return with their families.
The original water source is from water springs in Nakoroni, their ancient ancestral site were the Okanasei creek in Natadradave flows from.
“Many people are looking forward to visit and use the healing water with their families here in the village because of the Christmas and school holidays.
“We have reminded visitors that we do not accept money. We know the water is a gift from God and we are happy to share it with others free of charge.”
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama had recently visited the Delaikado site, Mr Druguvale said he told them that proper sanitary facilities would be setup around the site.
He said this included a washroom and a fence to cover the bathing area so that people can have privacy and not an open view.
Young men from other villages within the Dawasamu district, in Tailevu have been assisting members of the public who visit the Okanasei creek where the healing water site is located.They work in shifts (day and night) from Monday to Monday helping people voluntarily.
